Shawn Mendes is stepping into the world of professional soccer.
He revealed on social media that his song, "In My Blood," is the official FIFA World Cup song for Portugal. The soccer team will be using a new version of it that includes Portuguese lyrics.
Mendes says he always roots for Portugal in the World Cup, and his favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo.
The competition starts today with host Russia taking on Saudi Arabia at 11am ET.
