A Northwest Florida school district is taking an unusual step to try to stop the spread of the flu.
With more than 300 students sick, Gulf County has decided to close all schools tomorrow.
Superintendent Jim Norton hopes a long weekend will allow sick students to get healthy and healthy students to avoid getting sick.
Schools are open today, though, and flu shots will be available between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at both elementary schools.
