A new blood test can detect early signs of eight types of cancer.
Researchers at Johns Hopkins University say the non-invasive test can detect signs of cancer long before any symptoms develop. The test is called CancerSEEK and it screens all at once for cancers of the ovary, liver, stomach, pancreas, esophagus, colon, lung, and breast.
There currently is no screening test for five of those cancers. It probably will be a year or longer before the test is available to the public.
