The New York Yankees are expected to formally introduce their newest member at Walt Disney World this afternoon. They've reportedly scheduled a 2 p.m. news conference at the Swan & Dolphin Resort, where Major League Baseball's winter meetings are taking place.
The star of the show will be slugger Giancarlo Stanton, acquired over the weekend from the Miami Marlins.
The Yanks gave up 2nd baseman Starlin Castro and two minor-league prospects and agreed to pay 265-million of the 295-million dollars remaining on Stanton's contract.
