(Newark, NJ) -- It's day three of deliberations in the Bob Menendez corruption trial. The New Jersey Democrat says he's still convinced he'll be exonerated of accepting luxury trips and donations from West Palm Beach eye doctor Solomon Melgen in exchange for political favors.
The jury has heard nine weeks of testimony from 60 witnesses.
If no verdict is reached today, the judge says he'll excuse a juror who has a scheduling conflict and install an alternate. That means deliberations would begin all over again on Monday.
