After thousands in South Florida waited in long lines for hours to apply for disaster food funds after Irma, state officials say they'll re-open enrollment for Miami-Dade and Broward residents.
The Florida Dept. of Children and Families says due to the unprecedented and historic response, they've asked the federal government to extend the sign up process.
DCF says they'll hold additional three-day application events in Miami-Dade and Broward in the next two weeks.
