Humans could be on the way out if men's sperm counts keep falling at current rates. That's the warning from the lead author of an assessment of 40 years of international research.
A research project known as the Human Reproductive Update combed through nearly 200 studies of men in North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
They found that sperm counts fell by half from 1973 to 2011.
