Oldest Wildcat at the Palm Beach Zoo Dies

The oldest wildcat at the Palm Beach Zoo is dead.

Officials there said that a 23-year-old ocelot named "Sharon" died yesterday of kidney disease, a common terminal illness for the creature.  She and her partner Malo were introduced at the facility in 1996.

Malo died in February from kidney issues.

The ocelots had one offspring.
