Major League Baseball's All-Star festivities get rolling Monday night with the Home Run Derby at Marlins Park.
The event begins at 8:00 p.m. Eastern and is on ESPN. Eight players are participating in the tournament-style bracket.
Defending champion Giancarlo Stanton is one of two Marlins set to participate, with the other being first baseman Justin Bour. Stanton is the top seed and takes on Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez.
Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas matches up with Twins third baseman Miguel Sano in the four-five matchup.
Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is the second seed going against Bour. Dodgers rookie Cody Bellinger is the three seed and faces six seed Charlie Blackmon of the Rockies.
Maybe it's a law: that if there's a big event taking place in Miami, Pitbull must appear. The area native - and tireless promoter of the Florida city will be making the scene tonight with a performance during the All-Star Game's annual Home Run Derby.
Pitbull is just one of several non-baseball stars performing for major league events this week. Bebe Rexha will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" Tuesday night before the All-Star Game at Marlins Park and Jocelyn Alice will sing "O Canada."
Jennifer Hudson was on the bill to perform at an event last night.
And Lenny Kravitz performs tonight at a party thrown by the MLB Players Association in Miami. Other celebrities that were to appear over the weekend include Lil Jon and Flo Rida.
