We Are a Part of a Fat Pet Nation

Our pets are getting fatter.  Banfield Pet Hospital's 2017 State of Pet Health report found a third of pets that came through their doors across the U.S. were overweight and even obese.

The survey looked at two-point-five million dogs and half-a-million cats. Vets say that chubby pets aren't cute, they're at a higher risk of chronic disease.

Their owners often end up spending more at the vet, too.
