The Trump administration is considering ending temporary protected status for Haitian immigrants.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security this week said that they are seeking evidence of Haitians with TPS who committed crimes.
Haitians were offered temporary residency in the U.S. after the 2010 earthquake, a measure set to expire in July.
There are 58-thousand Haitians living in the U.S. with TPS.
A decision on ending TPS for Haitians is expected by May 23rd.
