(Boston, MA) -- The auction of an SUV formerly used by ex-NFL star Aaron Hernandez is no longer active after being pulled by eBay. Bids for the Toyota Four Runner that prosecutors believe was used in a double murder had soared over 100-thousand-dollars before the auction was pulled. The owners of the vehicle run a Rhode Island car dealership and they let Hernandez drive the SUV in exchange for promotional considerations.
Hernandez was acquitted of the double murder that police say was linked to the vehicle.
The former New England Patriots player was still serving a life sentence on another murder charge when he committed suicide last month.
