Downtown Miami's Metromover will be closing earlier than normal for the next few weeks due to construction of the Brightline transit hub next to Government Center. Miami-Dade Transit will shut down the people mover system at 10 p.m. on most weeknights through May 2nd as Florida East Coast Railway construction workers complete work at the new Miami Central station.
Bus shuttles will operate on the Downtown, Omni and Brickell loops until midnight on the early closure days.
The first phase of the Brightline higher-speed train connecting the downtowns of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach is expected to be up-and-running by September.
