Vitamin C Helps Cancer Fight

High doses of vitamin C can make cancer treatments more effective.  A new clinical trial by the University of Iowa studied the combined effect of conventional cancer treatment with high doses of vitamin C.  The researchers gave patients with brain and lung cancer between 800 and one-thousand times the daily recommended dose of vitamin C.  Patients given vitamin C survived on average four to six months longer than those who underwent conventional treatment alone.
