Brain Diseases Are Costing the Nation

Neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer's, are becoming an increasing financial burden on the United States.  

Researchers from the University of South Florida say without major investments in research, like those made for cancer and heart disease, costs could become so large they could "destabilize the entire health care system and the national economy."  

The study appears in the journal "The Annals of Neurology."
