Opioid Pandemic Underway in South Florida

There's an opioid crisis gripping the nation and South Florida is no exception. The highly addictive painkillers commonly prescribed are popularly known as Vicodin, Percocet and Oxycodone. Lt. Juan Villalba, Jr. of the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Narcotics Division on PBS says the struggle is real.

In one day alone this month- Palm Beach officials say 10 people died of overdoses.
