To Be Happy, Experts Say Watch This...

If you want to feel better you may want to try watching a nature documentary. 

University of California Berkeley, in collaboration with the BBC, had 7,500 participants from around the globe fill in surveys about their mood before and after viewing clips from the nature documentary Planet Earth II, dramas, and news stories. They discovered watching the nature documentary boosted participant's feelings of awe, contentedness, joy, and amusement, as well as helped reduce anxiety, fear, and tiredness. 


Study leader, Professor Dacher Keltner explains, "The shifts in emotion as a result of watching this powerful natural history series are significant as we know that wonder and contentment are the foundations of human happiness."
