(Miami, FL) -- Tennis superstar Serena Williams will miss this year's Miami Open on Key Biscayne. The world's top-ranked women's player and Palm Beach Gardens resident yesterday announced her withdrawal from the March game at Crandon Park due to a knee injury. She also pulled out of competing in the BNP Paribas Open in southern California, which began Monday.
Williams is an eight-time winner of the Miami Open, earning her latest victory in 2015.
