Nearly a dozen pets are safe and sound after an overnight rescue from a Fort Lauderdale apartment. Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue doused the fire last night at a building on Northeast 56th Street near North Dixie Highway. No one was in the unit where the fire burned, but three cats and two dogs were rescued. No one was hurt.
