Miami-based "Moonlight" Up For Oscars This Weekend

A Miami-based coming-of-age film is a favorite to win statues at this weekend's Academy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.  Director Barry Jenkins is up for Best Director for his film "Moonlight," an adapted screenplay written by Tarell Alvin McCraney about his troubled upbringing in Miami's Liberty City during the 1990s.  The film is up for eight awards including Best Picture.

The awards show is Sunday night.
