First Hispanic Woman To Travel To Space Heads To Astronaut Hall of Fame

The first Hispanic woman to travel into outer space will be recognized by the Astronaut Hall of Fame.  Ellen Ochoa will be inducted along with fellow astronaut Michael Foale in a ceremony May 19th at the Kennedy Space Center.   

Dr. Ochoa took part in four space shuttle missions and currently is the director of the Johnson Space Center in Houston.  

 

Dr. Foale went on six space shuttle missions.  He's the only American to have served on both the International Space Station and the Russian Space Station.
