Publix Ends Free Deli Meat Handouts

Free deli meat handouts at Publix are now a thing of the past.  The beloved Lakeland-based supermarket chain is asking employees at its hundreds of Florida stores to curb the practice.  A Publix spokesperson says the move is to "create a more natural exchange" between deli clerks and customers.  It's unclear if the move is a cost-cutting measure.
