"Wayne's World" is returning to theaters today for a limited run to mark its 25th anniversary. It will be shown on hundreds of screens across the nation. The movie's original release was on Valentine's Day in 1992. Expectations were modest, but it went on to take in 183-million dollars at the box office.
The cult hit was based on the popular "Saturday Night Live" sketch featuring rock n' roll basement dwellers Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar, played by Mike Myers and Dana Carvey.
