There's an 11-year-old kid named Jackson who goes to school in Packwood, Iowa, about a hundred miles southeast of Des Moines.
And he decided to shave his head this past Sunday to support his grandfather who's battling stage-four lymphoma. But when he went to school on Monday, other kids started making FUN of him for it.
He's in the sixth grade, and they were calling him things like "Baldy", and telling him HE had cancer.
But their principal is a guy named Tim Hadley, who looks like he's in his late 30s or early 40s. And when he heard about it, he decided JACKSON needed a little support.
So he told him to bring his clippers to school the next day. Then he called an assembly . . . and let everyone watch Jackson shave HIS head.
He says he did it to teach them to stand up for what they believe in, even if people make fun of it. And if you believe in someone ELSE, you should stand up for them too.
