This literally makes me want to cry. If you have ever seen the movie UP! you know the story is about an old man who refused to leave his home even though there were huge buildings being built around him. Well, there is literally the exact same thing happening in Coral Gables to an older man. He refuses to move or sell his home because his parents bought this home after fleeing from Cuba in the 80's. It has so many sentimental values to him and he says he will never sell. But that hasn't stopped developers from building around him. He is literally smack dab in the middle of the Plaza Coral Gables which is a new high end development and shopping center.
Kind of sad seeing how owner of the home Orlando Capote misses the old views from his home.
