A police officer in Oklahoma is being called a hero for rescuing his entire family from a house fire. Officer Anthony Louie with the Seminole Police Department responded to a call about a blaze and it turned out to be his own home that was engulfed in flames and his family was still inside.
He managed to run past the fire on the porch and made his way inside to save them. Louie was able to rescue his relatives, but he was badly burned in the process and suffered smoke inhalation injuries.
Fortunately, his loved ones were not hurt by the blaze. Seminole FOP Lodge 138, the Fraternal Order of Police in the region, notes that “Officer Louie’s family was not physically injured due to his bravery and quick action.” In a Facebook post, they share, “The overwhelming support received for Officer Louie has been amazing and his family and fellow officers wish to thank each and every person for their thoughts and prayers.
