BREAKING: All Alcohol and Food Services to Close

As of 5p today, all bars and lounges in Florida that don't serve food must close for 30 days.

Restaurants in Miami Beach must discontinue dine-in services, practice social distancing amongst employees, and offer only take out, drive through or delivery services.

The following institutions and businesses are not affected by the new mandatory closures orders: grocery stores, food banks, pharmacies; and commissaries, cafeterias and restaurants located entirely within hospitals, nursing homes or similar facilities.

The University of Miami announced Tuesday it would extend online classes through the end of the spring semester and partially close on-campus housing starting March 25th.

Miami-Dade Deputy Mayor Jennifer Moon said that individual cities have the option to enact stricter rules at this time.
