If you are a fan of those shiny red trolleys in downtown West Palm Beach, you are running out of time to catch the iconic free trolley service.

The city of West Palm Beach has decided to phase out the trolley service, and instead, move on to a new transit system using electric vehicles by next Monday, June 5.

According to the city, people riding the trolley have significantly declined since the COVID-19 pandemic and according to documents, the city's current trolley fleet is reaching the end of its time.

The new free pilot transit program is called "Ride WPB" and, instead of trolleys, you'll be riding in electric vehicles.

You can get more information about the new routes and transit system in the Ride WPB program here.
