If you're one of those people that goes to the movie theater and asks the poor teenage employees working there to make you a fresh batch of popcorn, you may be doing it all wrong. And you do not want them to hate you, so listen to one movie theater employee on TikTok who has debunked the theory that a fresh batch is the way to go.

On the now-viral TikTok, Paige DeCiancio claims that popcorn fresh out of the kettle tends to be a ball of mush, so she suggests you actually want the primo popcorn that's been sitting for at least an hour or so.

Paige also made note that you'll never get stale popcorn at the movies since they're popping it all day long, and, in fact, popcorn doesn't really get stale until upwards of one week.

The more you know. Knowledge is power.
