Migos Rapper, Takeoff Reportedly Dead at 28, Shot in Houston

One-third of the rap group Migos, member Takeoff, has been pronounced dead after an early morning shooting in Houston, according to TMZ Hip Hop.

There are multiple law enforcement sources and witness reports that claim the incident occurred shortly after 2:30 AM. Reportedly, that is when law enforcement got the call reporting a man shot had been shot at a bowling alley called 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston. Just hours before the fatal shooting, Takeoff posted a selfie from the bowling alley.

TMZ Hip Hop reports that Takeoff and Quavo were playing dice and celebrating the birthday of Jas Prince when an altercation broke out and someone opened fire.

Takeoff was pronounced dead on the scene after suffering injuries to his head, allegedly.

TMZ Hip Hop obtained graphic footage from the scene, and fellow Migos member, Quavo can be seen with others gathered around what is presumed to be Takeoff's body.

TMZ reports that as many as 2 other people were also shot during the altercation and taken to a hospital. There is no update on their conditions, nor their identities, however, Quavo is said to be uninjured.

Takeoff's real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball and he was the youngest member of Migos. He is survived by Migos members Quavo, his uncle, and Offset, his cousin.

Recently, Quavo and Offset released a song as the duo, Unc & Phew, and their latest music video, "Messy," was just released on Monday (10/31/22).
