A Florida man has been arrested after he chased down an endangered species and started plucking its feathers.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Jupiter Police department arrested 31-year-old Michael Bochicchio of Jupiter for endangering a threatened species.

According to both witnesses and the arrest report, Bochicchio chased down a Sandhill crane, grabbed the bird by its neck, and began removing its feathers.

Unfortunately for Michael, Sandhill cranes are on Florida's list of threatened species, which makes it illegal to touch, harass, or remove parts of the species.

Witnesses attempted to stop Bochicchio from chasing the crane, however, at one point, Bochicchio even held the plucked feathers in their faces and asked if "they wanted to keep them", according to what was told to officers.

Bochicchio was arrested and taken to the Palm Beach County Jail.
