Imagine you're a dog-walker on one of your many routine walks with someone else's dog, when suddenly, that dog pulls a knife on you! I know, right?! Where would that happen? My hometown, that's where!

Theo, an innocent-looking Great Pyrenees scared his dog walker this week when he picked up a knife while they were out on a walk.

Matt Paprocki was walking his friend's dog for a second time that day in Sylvania, Ohio he told Storyful, “I thought he grabbed a stick as usual.”

Paprocki explained that Theo “shoved his face into a pile of sticks and branches,” and apparently came across a sharp knife.

“My eye caught the glint of metal, and it was instant panic.”

Paprocki attempted to command the dog: “Theo, drop the knife.”

Great Pyrenees are apparently notorious for refusing to let go of their findings, so Paprocki was forced bargain with the pup.

“They need trades for something of greater value to them. I tried trading him for animal crackers, which I always take with me,” Paprocki explained. “Didn’t work. Tried a good stick. Didn’t work. My concern was he was going to jump around and play with the knife.”

Finally, Paprocki sent a video of Theo with the weapon and sent it to his owner, who he said worked right “around the corner.”

“Luckily she saw it, came within a few minutes, and ran into her house to get food to trade. Whipped cream didn’t do it. Salmon did. Theo dropped the knife, and she grabbed it.” the dog walker recalled.

Sounds like it was a close, but hilarious call for Matt Paprocki.
