There has been a lot of talk lately about celebrities and the use of their private jets and the C02 emissions that are slowly destroying our Earth.

The not-so-new topic recently flared up again after news broke that Kylie Jenner allegedly uses her private jet for flights as short as 12 minutes around the Los Angeles area instead of simply driving, or being driven. After Kylie Jenner shared photos of herself and boyfriend Travis Scott on Instagram in front of their respective jets, the topic turned to rapper Drake, and it left the need for an analysis of the biggest C02 emission offenders, and a study breaking it down by celebrity.

There are several Twitter accounts dedicated to tracking the private jets of billionaires, politicians, and celebrities, but for this particular study, the team from digital marketing agency Yard used data from @CelebJets, and they were able to reverse engineer the C02 emissions for each celebrity.

Apparently, private jets are between 5 to 14x worse than commercial planes and 50x worse for the environment than trains. And according to BroBible, "the average American emits around 16 tons of carbon dioxide in a given year, amongst the highest average of any nation on the planet."

With America’s sweetheart, Taylor Swift, coming in first place, here are the top 10 worst celebrity offenders:

1. Taylor Swift

2. Floyd Mayweather

3. Jay-Z

4. Alex Rodriguez

5. Blake Shelton

6. Steven Spielberg

7. Kim Kardashian

8. Mark Wahlberg

9. Oprah Winfrey

10. Travis Scott

It looks like Kylie Jenner didn’t even crack the top 10, unlike her boo, nor did Drake graze the list.

Since the study was released, Taylor Swift's team has commented on the topic, defending her by saying, “Taylor’s jet is loaned out regularly to other individuals. To attribute most or all of these trips to her is blatantly incorrect.”
