Michigan Man Caught with Nearly a Ton of Marijuana in Florida

Law enforcement in Florida arrested a Michigan man trying to cross the Florida/Georgia border with nearly a ton of illegal cannabis in a U-Haul truck.

According to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, on Wednesday (5/18/22) Wyoming, Michigan resident Terrance Jamahl Allen refused to enter an inspection station in Suwannee County, between Gainesville and Tallahassee, while driving a rented U-Haul moving truck.

When Office of Agriculture Law Enforcement employees searched the vehicle, they found approximately 1,900 pounds of marijuana.

Allen is being held in the Suwannee County Jail on a $1 million bond. He is currently facing charges of trafficking cannabis over 25 pounds, possession of fictitious identification, possess or display a fictitious identification, failure to stop for agriculture inspection, and resisting arrest without violence.
