One of the largest protest in years has erupted in Cuba this past weekend. This all as Cuba not only faces one its worst economic crises but also a lack of food and medicine. The support for Cuba can be seen all across South Florida! White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan tweeted support for the Cuban, "the U.S. supports freedom of expression and assembly across Cuba, and would strongly condemn any violence or targeting of peaceful protesters who are exercising their universal rights."

Political leaders such as our very own Mayor Fancis Suarez have spoken out via social media, “the Cuban regime’s military police are shooting at unarmed Cuban protestors fighting for freedom. 60 years of communism, cruelty, & oppression cannot last any longer! We are imploring the USA to take action as we peacefully demonstrate on the streets of Miami.” Suarez has even taken to the streets to peacefully protest.
