Miami is welcoming a new giant iPhone to the streets of Wynwood - or something like that. Next time you hit Centro or Coyo Taco, you're likely to run into the interactive kiosk experience, better known as IKE, that was installed along Northwest 24th Street, near Northwest Second Ave.
Now, what's the purpose of these kiosks? For officials, IKE provides 24 hour surveillance, can broadcast emergency messages, and gather data about its surroundings. For users like you and me, IKE provides free Wi-Fi (take that data plan!) and information about the neighborhood highlights for food, drink, restaurants, parks, transportation options, and more. Wynwood plans to have another two kiosks installed
