We’ve all been doing a lot more online shopping since the pandemic started, especially with Amazon. If you live around the Sunrise area you might be able to get your packages a little quicker. According to reports Amazon plans to build out a fulfillment center which could employ 1,000 people. The Sunrise site is in the area west of Hiatus Road, south of 50th Street and north of 44th Street.
According to Yahoo News, Amazon’s development application for Sunrise has yet to be formally reviewed by the city, which posted several videos on its website of neighborhood meetings held in January and on Feb. 11.
Hearing dates have yet to be scheduled with the city.
