If you’ve been following the #FREEBRITNEY movement you know all about the battle between Britney and her father. According to a motion filed in court in September, Britney Spears objects to dad and guardian James "Jamie" Spears' attempt to seal multiple documents in the case having to do with conservatorship battle. Britney Spears’ father has always remained quiet when talking to the press but is speaking out after the legal battle to have him removed as her conservator continues.

Jamie Spears told CNN that he hasn’t spoken with his daughter since August and he’s blaming her lawyer, Samuel D. Ingham III, “I have and will continue to provide unwavering love and fierce protection against those with self-serving interests and those who seek to harm her or my family."

CNN reached out to Ingham who declined to comment due to the case being ongoing, a source close to Spears says that Britney, “faces ongoing challenges with her mental health.”

Britney’s mother, Lynne, has advocated for Britney’s conservatorship to come to an end and is calling for a “fresh start” for Britney.
