Glenwood Springs in Colorado will pay you $100 if you visit the small town through November 30th.

I’ve been to Colorado twice, once for a wedding and the other time to go snowboarding. I will caution you that “altitude headaches,” are a REAL thing! When you come from a land of palm trees, beaches and flat land it’s definitely a change. One of my favorite places to eat if you decide to visit is HOPS AND PIE!

If you are up for traveling Glenwood Springs in Colorado, the town known best for its hot springs, will extend this “stimulus program” in an effort to boost tourism. It originally started in the spring, right when coronavirus was becoming a pandemic.

The offer is open to the first 1,000 visitors who qualify for the $100 reward. The $100 will be in the form of “Glenwood Gold Community Currency.”

To qualify, visitors must book a two-night stay through VisitGlenwood.com. Visitors cannot use third-party sites to receive the reward.

Lisa Langer, director of tourism promotion for Visit Glenwood Springs believes this is a good move for the community and tourists alike. “Following the reopening of Glenwood Springs’ major attractions, the Glenwood Springs tourism promotion board decided that this gift was the right move, not only to support our local tourism-dependent businesses but also to reward our dedicated visitor base," said Langer.

Would you visit a town like Glenwood Springs, Colorado? Have you done any traveling during the coronavirus pandemic?
