New Zealand Firefighters Perform a Haka as Tribute to 9/11 First Responders

New Zealand firefighters performed a haka, a type of ancient war dance, to pay tribute to the first responders who died in the line of duty on September 11. They then climbed the stairs of the Sky Tower in memory of their American counterparts.

It's been 18 years since two hijacked passenger jets flew into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, the start of a series of coordinated attacks against the United States by the terrorist group al-Qaida on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001. Everyone remembers the moment they heard the news. We all remember where we were and what we were doing when I heard the news and saw those first images.

It's a date that will never be forgotten and it's so moving to see other men and women and women in uniform honoring our fallen heroes in their own way.

It's not the first time they honor the fallen heroes in this way. Last year, this video was taken as well.
