Amy Schumer Reveals Husband, Chris Fischer, Is On The Autism Spectrum

Can we all just stop and love this woman for a second? She's so real about everything. Even when she's kinda gross about it, like the vomiting promo for her new Netflix special, she's still real. I love that.

To get even more real, Schumer revealed that her husband, chef, Chris Fischer is actually on the autism spectrum.

"I knew from the beginning that my husband's brain was a little different than mine," Schumer says in her Netflix special. "I have to start this over because I really want to get this right because I love him very much."

"My husband was diagnosed with what used to be called Asperger's. He has autism spectrum disorder. He's on the spectrum," Schumer says. "And there were some signs early on."

"Once he was diagnosed, it dawned on me how funny it was, because all of the characteristics that make it clear that he's on the spectrum are all of the reasons that I fell madly in love with him,"

The fact that his differences are what made her love him, and these differences are due to him being on the spectrum, and that she shares it so openly, makes my heart happy.

If you're on the spectrum, know someone who is, (or simply love 5Ks) join me at the Krista Marie Touch Of Love 5K April 7th! I'll be hosting for the 3rd consecutive year and I would love to see you there! Sign up here!
