Hurricane Michael is the strongest hurricane to make landfall in the Florida panhandle ever according to news sources. It's expected to make landfall just weeks after this same area was bombarded by Hurricane Florence. Thousands have been asked to evacuate.
"Tropical storm conditions will likely affect portions of the southeast U.S. coast from northeast Florida through North Carolina and tropical storm watches and warnings are in effect for these areas," the National Hurricane Center said.
First responders from different parts of the country, including South Florida, are heading out there to help in the recovery. Here are multiple live streams showing the effects the hurricane is having in the area.
