Sacha Baron Cohen Making Waves with Who is America

I don’t even know where to start with this. Sacha Baron Cohen, whom you might know from his movie Borat and Brüno Gehard, has launched a new TV show on Showtime called Who is America. Each episode is only a few minutes long and can be found on YouTube, see below if you want to watch, but interest those few minutes they have caused incredible turmoil and have ended up on nearly every news broadcast.

The show apparently aims to expose American leaders and celebrities as something less than what we believe them to be. But the means by which it’s done is what’s causing all the talk. Cohen gets in disguise as someone else - like he’s been known to do before- and stunts humiliate and embarrass the people involved. One example is  Georgia lawmaker Jason Spencer being asked to yell the N-Word, lower his pants and use his bare behind to avoid a terrorist attack. Another is Cohen asking Bachelors Alum Corinne Olympios for public hair and then Returning from the restroom offering her a Portrait of her self made with his semen. Access Hollywood’s Natalie Morales referred to this as sexual harassment and I am not sure I disagree.

Despite how uncomfortable the show is to watch it has millions of views already because of how controversial it is. Take a peek below and tell me what you think.
